Tasks via the Calendar
N.B. Left click any image to expand:
Access the '
' from any page in the CRM via the main menu ribbon
On the calendar page, to change the month, use the navigation tool
. Filters can be applied to the department (if applicable for your CRM)
, users involved
and task type
. Once options have been chosen, left click '
to apply the chosen selection. The calendar itself can be displayed by '
', or '
by left clicking the applicable tab. An '
' tab and '
' tab are also provided as options for viewing tasks.
You can also add tasks by left clicking the 'Add Task' button
. Alternatively, when viewing the calendar on the '
' or '
' tabs, you can left click on a time 'slot' to open a task window.
The task popout window is the same as that seen previously when adding a task directly within a contact. However, there is one small difference - the '
' field is not pre-completed with the key contact of the company, as the CRM cannot know the company/contact the task will relate to when adding a task via the calendar.
You will therefore need to add the company or contact to the '
' field manually. The field applies a predictive filter as with the quick '
' tool, which will narrow further as you enter more characters in the field
. Once all required fields have been updated
, left click '
The task will be visible in the calendar once saved
. To edit a task from the calendar, left click the '
which will open the '
' popout window.
Any task created within the '
' and including a completed '
' field will also be viewable and editable via that company record
Here we can see a '
' view in the calendar with multiple individuals involved selected in the filter
. In the next sections, we will look at how to use an iCal feed to view calendar task details in an e-mail client browser using Outlook and Gmail.
